Appleton Thorn is situated in North Cheshire about 4 miles south of Warrington Town Centre. It is uniquely placed between the M6 and the M56 which bring all the major North Western towns and cities within commuting distance. The airports of Manchester and Liverpool can normally be reached in 20 to 30 minutes by car; London is about 2 hours by train.
Appleton Thorn itself is a small semi rural village with both modern and traditional housing. The village hall and local pub, The Thorn, are well known and well utilised.
There is scenic open country within minutes by car or foot and excellent facilities for outdoor pursuits including a choice of golf course nearby
